2 New State Police Dog Teams Ready For North-Central Connecticut

TOLLAND/HARTFORD, CT — Two new state police dog teams will be patrolling north-central Connecticut.

The are part of 10 canine teams that made up the 201st Patrol Dog class, which graduated on Thursday during a ceremony at the Connecticut State Police Training Academy.

The canine teams were in training for 15 weeks. All of the patrol dogs are German
shepherds.

The teams include:

• Trooper Kyle Kaelberer and police dog Drago, Troop C
• Trooper Matthew Herz and police dog Boomer, Troop H
