Accused Drunken Driver Clocked At 119 MPH On I-84 Rumble Strips
A state trooper caught up to a driver who was rambling over the rumble strips at 119 mph while allegedly drunk, according to a report.

TOLLAND, CT — A state trooper caught up to a driver who was rambling over the rumble strips at 119 mph while allegedly drunk, according to a report.
The incident took place last Tuesday at 12:42 p.m. on the eastbound side of Interstate-84, state police said. A trooper was conducting speed enforcement out of the Troop C barracks and saw a vehicle speeding toward him from Tolland and Willington into Union, according to a report.
The car, a gray, 2014 Chrysler 200, was clocked at 119 mph, according to a report. The car was on the rumble strips adjacent to the left lane and the driver, identified as 27-year-old Christina Zagoya, of Webster, MA, was having difficulty maintaining a lane, according to a report.

Zagoya was charged with drunken driving, reckless driving and a lane violation, a report indicates. She is due in court on Nov. 14, state police said.
