After 9 Weekend Domestic Arrests, Troop C Stressing Victim 'Help'
"As always, we at Troop C are here for those in need," state police said to victims after facing nine Labor Day weekend domestic cases.
TOLLAND COUNTY, CT — After making nine arrests related to domestic violence over the long holiday weekend, state police at the Troop C barracks are taking a proactive approach.
Help is available to victims, state police said.
The nine arrests took place between Aug. 31 and Labor Day.

The circumstances varied. In one case, a 24-year-old Ellington man was charged with violating a protective order after state police received a report that someone was dragged by a car on Crystal Ridge Road in Ellington. In Somers on Saturday, a 34-year-old woman was charged with third-degree assault, risk of injury to a child and disorderly conduct after a domestic standoff.
On Sunday, a 68-year-old Ellington man's charges included second-degree abuse of persons and attempted sexual assault after an altercation. In Willington on Monday, a 25-year-old local man was charged with four crimes, including unlawful restraint, after fighting with a woman.

"We would like to take this opportunity to remind the public that help is available for those who are victims of domestic violence," state police said.
