TOLLAND, CT — With 42 days remaining before the start of the next fiscal year, Tolland has a 2026-27 budget.
Voters on Tuesday approved a $66,390,910 spending plan that takes effect July 1. The tally was 1,344 yes votes to a no vote total of 1,186.
The budget will raise the tax rate by 2.17 percent from its current level of 27.19 mills to 27.78 mills.
The Board of Education operating budget totals $46,014,811, a 3.40 percent increase or $1,513,060 increase.
The municipal operating budget: totals $14,632,175, a 3.20 percent increase or $453,710.
The median home impact is $234 from the current median home tax bill of $10,763 to $10,997. That's a change of 2.17 percent.
