Several Stop Signs Knocked Over In Tolland Drunken Deriving Escapade: State Police

TOLLAND, CT — A 62-year-old Tolland Woman is facing a half-dozen criminal charges after a wild ride in town that left behind a path of destruction, state police said.

The incident took place at 11:25 a.m. on May 16, according to an arrest report.

That day, state troopers were dispatched to Raisch Drive to investigate a hit-and-run incident involving a vehicle and house, according to an arrest report.

When troopers arrived at the scene, they discovered that the woman's car has rammed into a parked car, then proceeded to hit a tree adjacent to the home.

The home may have been spared, but several stop signs were not. Troopers found them toppled along the woman's path.

The woman was charged with reckless driving, evading responsibility and failure to take a sobriety test, according to an arrest report.

State police said it was also determined hat the woman was the "primary aggressor" in a disturbance and, for that, she was charged with first-degree criminal mischief, violating a protective order and disorderly conduct, according to an arrest report.
