• Several Stop Signs Knocked Over In Tolland Drunken Deriving Escapade: State Police (patch.com) — Tolland residents are learning more about a recent late-morning incident in which a 62-year-old local woman allegedly drove through town hitting a parked car, a tree, and several stop signs. State police say the May 16 episode on Raisch Drive led to multiple criminal charges, including reckless driving, evading responsibility, and offenses tied to an earlier disturbance.
• Tolland Voters Approve A Budget For The 2026-27 Fiscal Year. (patch.com) — Tolland voters have approved a $66.39 million budget for 2026-27 that raises the property tax rate by 2.17 percent, from 27.19 to 27.78 mills. The plan boosts school and municipal operating budgets and is expected to increase the median homeowner’s annual tax bill by about $234 starting July 1.
• State police: Man arrested after allegedly breaking into neighbor's apartment while nude (courant.com) — A man was arrested after state troopers say he broke into a neighbor’s Ashford apartment while nude and was later taken to State Police Troop C in Tolland for booking. He faces burglary, interfering, and disorderly conduct charges and was held on a substantial cash bond pending a Danielson court appearance.
