TOLLAND, CT — Not that 90-degree days bring with them any desire to light up a fire pit, Tolland residents are heading into another weekend with a strong suggestion not to even think about it.
"The fire danger for Tolland today is high again," fire officials said Friday. It's been that way all week.
They continued, "Please no open burning and be careful not to produce any sparks outside. Please dispose of wood ashes in a metal bucket and soak the ashes with water before dumping them outside. If you see a fire, call 911 immediately."
