Warrant Served To Tolland Woman After 4-Year-Old Ingests Numerous THC Products: State Police

CHAPLIN, CT — A Tolland woman is facing three counts of risk of injury to a child for leaving a 4-year-old exposed to THC products, a warrant says.

April Moan, 38, was served a warranty Friday. Risk charges are considered serious felonies in Connecticut.

According to an arrest report, the case dates back to March 12, when state police were contacted by the stater Department of Children and Families about "neglect" at a home in Chaplin.

The young girl ingested "an unknown amount" of products containing THC, the principal psychoactive component found in the cannabis plant.

The child required hospitalization, but did recovery fully, according to an arrest report.

Moan waited until the following day to report the situation, according to an arrest report. She posted a $50,000 bond and is due in court on July 2, records show.
