School Bus Whacks Utility Pole In Tolland: State Police

TOLLAND, CT — A school bus and utility pole had a close encounter in Tolland, state police said.

State police recently released a report on the June 15 incident.

According to a crash report, at 3:01 p.m. that day, a bus operated by first student had pulled over on Peter Green Road and the driver was checking the route.

The bus suddenly proceeded forward and hit an Eversource pole, according to a crash report.

No passengers were listed as being on the bus.

The driver declined medical attention, according to a crash report.

The bus door was damaged in the crash, state police said.
