TOLLAND, CT — The Cider Mill Road Race will celebrate its 25th anniversary Oct. 3 with a morning of races followed by the Tolland Harvest Festival.
The annual event has brought runners, walkers, families and spectators together for 25 years while raising money for Tolland schools. Organizers say the race has raised thousands of dollars over the years to support students and educational programs.
This year's race is partnering with the Permanent Celebration Committee, which hosts the Tolland Harvest Festival. The collaboration will allow residents and visitors to take part in the races in the morning before continuing to the festival in the afternoon for food, entertainment, local vendors and family activities.

Road closures are expected from approximately 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.
Participants must register by Oct. 2. There will be no race-day registration.
Organizers are inviting participants of all ages and abilities, from competitive 5K runners to families taking part in the kids run and mile fun run.
Following the awards ceremony, attendees can continue to the Tolland Harvest Festival for an afternoon of seasonal activities and community events.
