TOLLAND, CT — Oh have times changed in the local education system.
Some equipment that was, at one time, all the rage and state of the art is now being considered obsolete and has been designated for disposal. according to officials in Tolland.
At Tolland Middle school, an "old fashioned portable bulb projector" is one such item, as are three pair of portable desktop speakers.
Also being discarded are a "boom box" that has a missing antenna and an "inoperable" portable mini scanner.
A laminator over at Birch Grove Primary School has conked out and is no longer needed.
In the special education department, standardized tests that once used easels, manuals and "audio recording CDs." are no longer viable.
