TOLLAND, CT — Tolland completed its road resurfacing program for the season in September, resurfacing 3.8 miles of town roads, according to the latest town manager's report.
Crews are scheduled to crack-seal approximately 12 miles of town roads in October. After collecting final road assessment data this fall, the town will develop its next multiyear pavement management schedule.
The Highway Division also repaired or rebuilt 71 catch basins along the resurfaced roads. Crews are backfilling newly installed curbs with loam and seed to help grass become established before winter.
Following recent heavy rains, highway crews are addressing conditions on 8.35 miles of unimproved roads and completing cleanup from September's nor'easter.
