Anticipated Snowstorm Alters Thursday's Tolland School Day,
School and trash schedules change as weather forecasters predict as much as 13 inches of snow will blanket the area Thursday morning.

TOLLAND, CT — Due to an anticipated winter storm, classes have been canceled Thursday for all Tolland public schools.
After-school activities are also canceled for the day.
The latest forecast from the National Weather Service predicts snowfall of nine to 13 inches, with winds gusting as high as 36 miles per hour.

Due to the impending snow storm tomorrow, there will be no trash and recycling pick-ups.
For residents with normal pick-up on Thursday, trash and recycling will be picked up on Saturday. Residents with Friday collection will most likely have Saturday collection, but if trash and recycling are not picked up by late Saturday afternoon then they will not be picked up until the next regularly scheduled pick up, officials said.

Normal schedules will resume next week.
