TOLLAND, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire.

Coastal Carolina University, Conway SC

• Eight hundred and seventy-five students at Coastal Carolina University earned a perfect 4.0 GPA during the fall 2018 semester. The academic achievement earns them a spot on the President's List. Among the students on the President's List were Tolland residents Sarah Allen, a Public Health major, and Holly McGrath, an Intelligence & National Security Studies major.
• More than 2,400 students at Coastal Carolina University were named to the Dean's List for the fall 2018 semester. That's more than 23 percent of the student body earning a GPA of 3.5 or higher. Among those students earning a spot on the Dean's List were Tolland residents Evan Kerecz, a Recreation and Sport Management major, and Cody Ouellette, a Management Pre-Major major.

Grove City College, Grove City PA

• A pair of students from Tolland were named to the Dean's List for the fall 2018 semester at Grove City College. Micah Warren, a junior Biology major, has been named to the Dean's List with High Distinction. Micah is the son of Laurie and Scott Warren. Hannah Wiley, a freshman Entrepreneurship major, has been named to the Dean's List with High Distinction. Hannah is a 2017 graduate of Cornerstone Christian School and is the daughter of Rev. Christopher and Marla Wiley.

Hamilton College, Clinton NY

• Monica Dave of Tolland has been named to the Dean's List for the 2018 fall semester. To be named to the Dean's List, a student must have carried throughout the semester a course load of four or more graded credits with an average of 3.5 or above. Dave, a junior majoring in neuroscience, is a graduate of Tolland High School.

Nazareth College, Rochester NY

• Nazareth College is proud to announce that Heather Gilleran of Tolland has been named to the dean's list for the fall 2018 semester. Gilleran is majoring in Music Education. A student's grade point average must be at least 3.5 or above, and they must complete 12 credit hours of graded work that semester in order to be included on the dean's list at Nazareth.

Stonehill College, Easton MA

• Matthew Schoen, from Tolland and a member of the Class of 2020, has been named to the fall 2018 Dean's List at Stonehill College. To qualify for the Dean's List, students must have a semester grade point average of 3.50 or better and must have completed successfully all courses for which they were registered.

York College of Pennsylvania, York PA

• Samantha Matteo of Tolland, a junior Nursing major at York College of Pennsylvania, has been named to the Dean's List for the fall 2018 semester. To be eligible for this honor, a student must be registered for at least 12 academic credit hours and earn a semester GPA of 3.50 or higher.
