Assumption College, Worcester MA

• Genevieve Duff, of Tolland, was one of 85 students selected to present an original academic research project at Assumption's 25th Annual Undergraduate Symposium, held April 15-16 on the College's Worcester campus. Duff, a member of the Class of 2022, presented "Hands-On History: What We Learned from Participating in a History Lab." This presentation, conducted by Duff and two classmates, showcases the team's experience working with the Adverts 250 Project identifying shop signs listed in colonial American newspaper advertisements. The team examined issues of the Boston Evening Post to create a roster of shop signs and located these shops on a map of colonial Boston on the eve of the American Revolution.

Lasell College, Newton MA

• Lillian Baker, a Fashion and Retail Merchandising student from Tolland, presented work at the Lasell College Fall Connected Learning Symposium on December 4. Baker presented "Regency Period Fashion Plates: Rudolph Ackermann's Repository of Arts" Research and Preservation."
