Arrest Made In Tolland Mobil Mart Cigarette Theft

A suspect in a summertime robbery in Tolland has been charged, state police said.

TOLLAND, CT — A suspect in a summertime robbery involving cigarettes at a Tolland gas station and convenience store has been charged, state police said.

The incident took place Aug. 12 at the Mobile station at 56 Merrow Road.

Stephanie Ann Beaulieu, 51, of East Hartford, has been charged with second-degree robbery, third-degree larceny and second-degree criminal mischief, according to an arrest report. She is currently being held on a $10,000 bond in the case and is due back in court on May 6, records show.

She is accused of teaming up with a man to rob the Mobil Mart at 12:59 a.m.

According to an incident report, a woman entered the store and began stealing cigarette cartons. When confronted by the store attendant, a man entered the establishment and began to "assault and restrain" the attendant, according to a report.

The suspects then fled in a getaway car described as a 2008 blue Honda Civic. It was driven by another man, according to an incident report.

The Honda was confirmed to be stolen out of Farmington on Aug. 9.
