Athletic Director Has A Constant Smile: Tolland Hero

TOLLAND, CT — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented and changing times.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. Together with Ring, we're working to let all your neighbors know about these outstanding people and their stories.

This submission comes from a Tolland parent, who nominated Tolland Public Schools Athletic Director Todd Zenczak.

Reason for recognition: Mr. Zenczak is the most approachable person, not only at Tolland High School, but in the entire district. With the CIAC constantly wavering with a decision to have high school and middle school sports, Mr. Zenczak continued all his work preparing for fall sports.

One thing to know: Everything he does, he does it with a smile on his face and the kids' best interests in mind.
