TOLLAND, CT β€” A high-speed ATV pursuit led to charges against a Tolland man, state police said in a report.

The incident took place at 4:18 p.m. on May 21, state police said.

According to a report, a Trooper was on patrol along Shenisit Lake Road when he saw a man driving an all-terrain vehicle with a child on the back heading north.

The trooper attempted to stop the ATV, but the driver, identified as 38-year-old Kane Jellison of Shenipsit Lake Road, sped away, a report indicates. The trooper then found ATV tire tracks that indicated the vehicle turned into a driveway on Shenipsit Lake Road, according to a report.

The trooper then located the ATV and arrested Jellison for driving under the influence with a juvenile passenger, risk of injury to a child and disobeying the signal of an officer.

Jellison was required to have an alcohol-sensitive ignition device while driving and was also charged for not having one, according to a report.

He is due in court on July 8 after posting a $25,000 bond, state police said.
