Boat Rescue By Tolland Fire Department Hailed As A Model Operation
Ok ... it was a small boat, but the TFD went above and beyond.

TOLLAND, CT ā A stranded boat was retrieved from the frigid waters of Crandall's Pond in Tolland earlier this week.
OK ... it was a model boat, but it was still a stellar effort by the Tolland Fire Department
Tolland Town Manager Brian Foley said a resident had his model boat out on the pond, and it became disabled.

"Rather than have him attempt to get it, one of Tollandās bravest jumped in a kayak and went out and got it for him," Foley said.
The family then made a donation to the Tolland Food Pantry in appreciation, Foley said.
