Camille's Gushing Over Good Pizza Rating As Barstool Visits Tolland
The discerning internet pizza reviewer "El Presidente" paid a visit to Tolland and liked Camille's pie.

TOLLAND, CT — The verdict was finally out Wednesday after the discerning David "El Presidente" Portnoy took his Barstool Sports pizza review road show to Tolland and Camille's.
He liked it, as evidenced by the video posted on his Facebook page.
The visit was on a busy Saturday in May.

"He just walked in and said, 'Hi small cheese pizza for Dave,'" said lead counter staff member Jillian Mailhot. "We then recognized him, saw the camera, and may have dropped a few cups."
It all happened so fast that the staff could not even get the obligatory celebrity photo pose, she said. Alas, Portnoy, as is his custom, took the pizza (made by Chef Steve Lundgren and stretched with the help of Mailhot's brother, Kyle) to the sidewalk for the official "one bite."

He was hinting he might prefer coal ovens to wood, but then took a half-step back after the first bite.
"It's good," he said. After more tastes, he said "This is really good."
The final rating was 7.7 and Portnoy called the sauce (made from scratch at Camille's) "great."
"We'll take a seven-seven, but I could want an eight," joked lead served Page McGuigan. "He has a lot of followers (2.1 million on Facebook) so this is a great thing. The last time we had a good rating (in a state ranking), we had a lot of new customers stop in. I hope it's the case again.
McGuigan could not hold back a sigh.
"It figures, when he came in I was not here after I may have dared him a little to stop in," she said. "I've been at Camille's for six years and I finally take a vacation and he stops in."
Camille's is about to celebrate its 10th anniversary.
"This comes at a good time," McGuigan said. "We're all very excited about it."
The suggestion was an appearance of "gushing."
"Yeah, we're pretty happy about it. He's tough and we'll take that seven-seven."
