TOLLAND, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire.

American International College, Springfield MA

• Eric Fagan, of Tolland, received a graduate degree in Forensic Psychology and Rachel Perras, of Tolland, received a bachelor's degree in Public Health. from American International College at the 134th Commencement in May. More than 22 states and nine countries were represented by more than 600 students at the ceremony.
• Rachel Perras, of Tolland, is among 463 students who have been named to the spring 2019 Dean's List at American International College. Dean's List students are full time students who have achieved a 3.3 to 4.0 GPA.

Curry College, Milton MA

• Curry College is proud to announce that Rylee Rose Kavanagh of Tolland has been named to the Dean's List for the spring 2019 semester. To qualify for the Dean's List, students must earn a 3.30 GPA, have no incompletes, and have no grade lower than a "C" for the semester.

Eastern Connecticut State University, Willimantic CT

• Eastern Connecticut State University's Department of Environmental Earth Science held its annual year-end celebration in the Science Building on May 6. At the event, 13 students were awarded for their work and excellence in the environmental earth science program. Among the awarded was Jack Cerra of Tolland, who majors in Environmental Earth Science. Cerra was presented with the Sophomore Academic Excellence Award.

Grove City College, Grove City PA

• Two students from Tolland were named to the Dean's List for the spring 2019 semester at Grove City College. Micah Warren, a Biology major, has been named to the Dean's List with High Distinction; he is the son of Laurie and Scott Warren. Hannah Wiley, a History major, has been named to the Dean's List with Distinction; she is a 2017 graduate of Cornerstone Christian School and is the daughter of Marla and Rev. Christopher Wiley. Students with a GPA of 3.85 to 4.0 are eligible for the Dean's List with High Distinction, and those with a GPA of 3.60 to 3.84 are eligible for the Dean's List with Distinction.
