On Campus - Tolland College Students

TOLLAND, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire.

Belmont University, Nashville TN

• Joshua Quimby, a Tolland native, joined 2,000 other new Belmont University freshman and transfer students during Towering Traditions orientation this year for SERVE, an opportunity to complete community service together throughout the greater Nashville area. Many of the local metro schools, Nashville General Hospital at Meharry, Legacy Mission Village and nearly 50 other local organizations received aid from Belmont students during the annual Welcome Week program.

Colby-Sawyer College, New London NH

• This fall, Colby-Sawyer proudly welcomed Abigail Davidson of Tolland. She is majoring in history and political studies. Colby-Sawyer's enrollment for the incoming Class of 2023 increased by 11% from last year despite declining enrollment figures both regionally and nationally at small, private liberal arts institutions.

Lehigh University, Bethlehem PA

• Owen Adlerstein of Tolland enrolled at Lehigh University as part of the Class of 2023. The members of the Class of 2023 represent 42 U.S. states and territories, including Puerto Rico and the District of Columbia, and 26 countries, and is also one of the most diverse and competitive classes ever admitted to Lehigh.
