A Cappella Group Performs Benefit Concert for Regional Shelter
Take Note! concert features songs of the holiday and winter season.

The acclaimed a cappella ensemble Take Note! performs a benefit concert, “Music to Warm the Heart,” to help ensure that no one has to sleep out in the cold. The vocal group performs in concert on Sunday, December 7, at 3:00 p.m. at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 27 Plains Road, Windham Center. Tax deductible donations will be accepted at the door and will benefit the Windham Region No Freeze Hospitality Center. The concert features songs of the holiday and winter season in various musical styles, including jazz, traditional, and multicultural.
The Windham Region No Freeze Hospitality Center is a not-for-profit agency housed at 75 Bridge Street, Willimantic. Its goal is to provide basic overnight shelter from cold weather for homeless adults from November 15th through April of each year. No one is turned away. In addition to providing a warm place to sleep, the shelter also provides food, clothing, emergency and transport funding, as well as case management services. The shelter relies on the generous donations of community members to provide the majority of its funding.
