TOLLAND, CT — A car became pinned under a tractor trail on Interstate 84 in Tolland Wednesday night.

The crash took place just after 9 p.m. on the westbound side of the highway between Exit 68 and the Mountain Spring overpass, fire officials said.

A white sedan became entangled with a truck and wound up being stuck underneath its trailer. The entire front end and passenger front seat were under the truck and the car's roof was crushed.

Fire and state police crews rendered aid at the scene.

One person was taken to Hartford Hospital, fire officials said, but the injuries were not disclosed.
