Car Hits 112 MPH On I-84 In Tolland, Driver Charged

TOLLAND, CT — A motorist was snagged driving 112 mph along a stretch of Interstate-84 in Tolland over the weekend, state police said.

At 22 minutes before midnight on Saturday, a trooper was positioned at a sport just west of Exit 68 on the eastbound side of the highway. A dark colored sedan then went past hime at a high rate of speed.

The cruiser followed the car for a short time at 112 mph before pulling it over, according to a report.

The driver, 25-year-old Konstantin Lelcaj, of The Bronx, NY, was charged with reckless driving, accordinvgto a report. He is due in court on Oct. 9, state police said.
