Car Loses Wheel In Tolland Crash On Route 74

TOLLAND, CT — A crash on Route 74 tied up one lane just as the afternoon commute was taking shape and sent one person to an area hospital on Monday, fire officials said.

The local name for Route 74 is Tolland Stage Road. The crash took place near the Doyle Road intersection just before 4 p.m., according to fire officials.

A white sedan had lost a wheel during the accident.

One person was taken to an area hospital after being evaluated, fire officials said. The scene was cleared in about a half-hour, fire officials said.
