Car Takes Out Pole, Leaves Road A Mess In Tolland
A car slammed into a pole in Tolland Thursday.
TOLLAND, CT — A section of Gehring Road in Tolland was closed for a good chunk of Thursday after a car took out a utility pole, fire officials said.
The crash took place late Thursday morning along the 300 block of Gehring Road. The pole was snapped near its base and sprayed tree branches all over the road as it fell while also taking down a set of wires, fire officials said.
The road was closed until about 9 p.m., when one lane was opened.
