Chair Report: June 13th Meeting Preview

Proclamation Honoring Captain Carlson, Recognition of Pride Month, Review of Town Goals and More to be Discussed by Town Council.

Good Afternoon neighbors, and a happy Friday! Please see below the chairperson’s report for our June 13th Town Council meeting.

First, the Town Council will read into the record a Proclamation Honoring the Life of Dennis Carlson. This reading and presentation will be followed by a Proclamation Recognizing June as Pride Month.

After these readings are four new items of business. The first new item of business is the final review of the Town Council’s goals for the 2021-2023 term, with feedback from the Town Manager.

The second item of business is a consideration of a resolution officially suspending the town’s public health and civil preparedness emergency in conjunction with the state and federal suspension of their emergencies.

The third item of business is a recap of the street takeover incident and results of the public forum held on June 8th.

The fourth and final order of business is the appointment and reappoint of three residents to various boards and commissions, which include the Ethics Commissions, Veterans Recognition Commission and Technology Advisory Board.
