American International College, Springfield MA

  • Rachel Perras of Tolland has been inducted into the Alpha Chi Honor Society at American International College (AIC) in Springfield. Alpha Chi is the prestigious national honor society that accepts only the top 10% of juniors and seniors in all academic fields. It recognizes and promotes scholarship and the elements of character that make scholarship effective for good. Perras, majoring in Public Health, is a member of the Class of 2019. Established in 1949, this is the 70th anniversary of the Massachusetts Chapter of Alpha Chi at AIC.

Assumption College, Worcester MA

  • Amanda Garrepy of Tolland was one of 635 graduates to receive a degree during Assumption College's 102nd Commencement exercises on Sunday, May 12, held at the DCU Center in downtown Worcester.
  • Assumption College has announced that 558 undergraduate students, or recent graduates, have been named to the College's prestigious Dean's List for the spring 2019 semester. Among the honorees are Tolland residents Amanda Garrepy and Marissa Airoldi. To receive recognition, students must earn a grade point average of 3.5 for a five-class, 15-credit semester. The Dean's List is announced following the spring and fall semesters.

Coastal Carolina University, Conway SC

  • More than 2,000 Coastal Carolina University students were named to the Dean's List for the spring 2019 semester. Among the students earning recognition on the Dean's List were two residents of Tolland: Evan J. Kerecz, a Recreation and Sport Management major, and Holly J. McGrath, a Intelligence & National Security Studies major.
