- Nicole Amagliani of Tolland graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Castleton University following the successful completion of the spring semester in May 2019. The fourth graduating class of Castleton University passed across the stage at its 232nd Commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 18. Amagliani was also recently named to the Castleton University Dean's List for the spring semester of the 2018-19 academic year. To qualify for this academic honor, the student must maintain full-time status and a semester grade point average of 3.5.

- Eastern Connecticut State University's Honors Program held its senior reception on May 18 in the Johnson Room of the J. Eugene Smith Library. The event celebrated the achievements of 25 graduating students enrolled in the university's highly selective Honors Programs. Among the honorees was Samuel Pallis of Tolland, who majors in Biology. Pallis was congratulated for his outstanding academic achievements and his senior thesis titled "An Analysis of the Efficacy of Varying Sampling Protocols for the Mudpuppy Salamander."
Tufts University, Medford MA
- Jeremy Soucy, of Tolland, recently graduated from Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University during its 37th commencement ceremony on May 19. Soucy was one of 157 students, whose studies varied from veterinary medicine to the intersection of animals and public policy, to infectious disease and global health.
Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Worcester MA

- On Saturday, May 11, on the Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) campus quadrangle, 1,019 bachelor's degrees were awarded during the university's 151st commencement ceremony. Michael Oswald of Tolland was awarded a bachelor of science degree in aerospace engineering with distinction.
