TOLLAND, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire.

Eastern Connecticut State University, Willimantic CT

  • The Eastern Chamber Singers at Eastern Connecticut State University is amid its spring 2019 season of performance. The Chamber Choir is a vocal ensemble comprised of 20-25 auditioned singers from departments throughout the University. Among the students are Jennifer Lindquist of Tolland, who majors in Psychology and sings Alto, and Aaron Wilson of Tolland, who majors in Business Administration and Music and sings Bass.

  • Faith Aiudi, Nancy Boutot, Gloria Famiglietti and Autumn LaPointe, all of Tolland, were named to the full-time President's List at MCC for the fall 2018 semester. Tolland residents making the part-time President's List were Maurice Amelotte, Lauren Bartlett, Tyler Booth, Krystal Bunce, Jamie Freeto, Eric Garabedian, Drew Hallenbeck, Melissa Kiely, Haley King, John Roberts, Laura Weekes, Aiyla Zahid and Melinda Zielfelder. This recognizes the exceptional scholarship of full- and part-time students who earn a 4.0 or “A” grade point average in their courses. Full-time students who have completed at least 12 credits for the semester with no withdrawals or incomplete grades in the semester are eligible for this honor. Part-time students who have earned a 4.0 GPA with no withdrawals or incompletes in the semester - and have accumulated 12 credits at MCC - are eligible for the Part-Time President’s List.
  • Dean's List honorees from Tolland for the fall 2018 semester are Hanna Bacha, Taylor Daniels, Duncan Drever, Jeanna Erickson, Anna Gabriel, Allison Gallo, Daniel Goldstein, Paul Gronendyke, Chloe Hammeke, David Hatch, Wayne Hatch, Mackenzie Jacobsen, Kara Kondratovicz, Christina Lawrence, Kirsten Littell, Hannah Mozdzierz, Fraser Nehrig, Jamie Nelson, Talal Peracha, Michael Witkowsky, Chase Young and Mark Zimmer. Full-time students enrolled in 12 credits or more and who have earned a GPA of 3.4 with no withdrawals or incomplete grades in that semester are eligible for the Dean’s List. Part-time students are eligible for recognition with the same criteria when they have completed 12 or more credits of work with a cumulative GPA of 3.4 or higher.
