Congressman, IRS Hosting Crumbling Foundation Webinar
U.S. Rep. Joe Courtney and the Internal Revenue Service are hosting a crumbling foundation webinar on Monday.
NORTH-CENTRAL CT — U.S. Rep. Joe Courtney (CT-02) announced this week that on Monday, Feb. 10, he and the Internal Revenue Service will be hosting a public webinar to answer tax questions from area residents who have been impacted by the crumbling foundations crisis.
During the webinar, IRS staff members will answer questions about crumbling foundations and tax issues. They will also discuss the property casualty loss deduction, and how it can help homeowners with crumbling foundations.
The IRS will also discuss how assistance from the Connecticut Foundations Solutions Indemnity Company Inc. is treated in terms of any taxes that may or may not be owed. At the end of the presentation, the IRS will open the phone lines to take questions live from those participating.
