She added, "The watershed scavenger hunt is a fun way to help the public, especially people living in the public water supply watershed, understand what our watershed inspectors are looking for when they visit properties in the watershed."
The scavenger hunt features staged props that represent real concerns along the trail in the watershed. It involves about a one-mile-long walk along the Shenipsit Lake Reservoir hiking trail in Tolland, which begins near the bridge on Shenipsit Lake Road.
Connecticut Water staff members will meet people at the bridge and then proceed to the trail. A $25 L.L. Bean gift card will be raffled off among the participants.
