TOLLAND, CT — Animal control officials in Tolland are warning residents to be aware of coyotes after a recent attack on a dog.

As part of the most recent town manager's report, Tolland Animal Control officials said there has been an increase in wildlife-related calls, including a coyote attacking a "domestic dog."

The incident was in the area of Hunter Road and Bakos Road and the coyote was not found, officials said. The dog was up to date on rabies shots and was administered a booster as a precaution, officials said.
