Darting Dog Claim Turns Into DUI Case After Car Hits House In Tolland
A car hit a house in Tolland over the weekend.

TOLLAND, CT β It's wasn't the dog's fault after all, state police determined after a car hit a house in Tolland early Sunday morning.
The car, a 2018 Subaru Crosstrek, hit the home on Grant Hill Road at 12:08 a.m., according to a state police crash report. The driver, a 59-year-old Tolland woman, told state police at the scene that she swerved to avoid a dog that had run into the road and then lost control of the vehicle, according to a crash report.
Not so fast, state police said. Suspecting she was drunk, the driver was subjected to a field sobriety test, which she failed, according to an arrest report.
