DEEP Identifies Teen Who Drowned at Bigelow Hollow State Park
The teen was pulled from a lake and died Sunday night.

UNION, CT — Connecticut environmental police on Monday identified the teen who drowned in Mashapaug Lake at Bigelow Hollow State Park as a 17-year-old from Massachusetts.
Eliseo M. Santos, of Southbridge, Massachusetts, who would have been 18 on Wednesday, was pronounced dead Sunday evening at Harrington Hospital in Southbridge, according to a news release issued by the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection.
Santos was swimming in the lake with a group of people when he went under just before 4 p.m., according to a news release.

State ENCon Police responded along with the Tolland County Dive Team, which located Santos and pulled him from the lake, according to a news release.
EnCon Police said they are investigating the fatality.
