TOLLAND, CT — Two deer in the headlights was the cause of a weekend rollover crash in Tolland, a police report indcates.

The crash took place at 8:10 p.m. on Saturday, according to a report. A 2005 Toyota Tacoma driven by a 30-year-old Stafford man was heading south on Crystal Lake Road, according to a report. The driver first noticed a deer on the right side of the road, but then another darted onto the pavement from the left a short time later, state police said.

The driver tried to avoid the deer and the Tacoma went off the road, hit a tree and rolled over on an embankment, according to a report.
