Different 2023 Route Means Different Detours For Cider Mill Road Race

TOLLAND, CT — A new route for Tolland's Cider Mill Road Race means new road closures at the end of the month.

The 2023 edition of the Cider Mill Road Race is scheduled for Sept. 30. Roads in the vicinity of Crandall Park will be closed from approximately 8 a.m. to noon.

This route for this year's race is to be staged along a different route than in past years.

The course will begin in the lower parking lot at Crandall Park on Cider Mill and travel down Cider Mill Road to Grant Hill Road. Runners will then take a left onto Partridge Lane and then take a left at the end of the road onto Woodland Street and a left onto Grandview Street.

Runners will then take a right onto Cider Mill Road to the finish.

Town officials said drivers should be aware of runners during the race period.
