Distracted, Impaired Driving Cited By State Police In Tolland Crash
A driver is facing multiple charges after his vehicle bounced off a tree in Tolland, state police said.

TOLLAND, CT — State police said distracted and impaired driving were factors in a crash that left a car smashed after it caromed off a tree in Tolland.
A report on the June 2 incident was recently released.
According to a crash report, at 3:55 p.m. on June 2, a 42-year-old Ashford man was operating a 2022 Nissan Altima southbound on the 100 block of Buff Cap Road. The Nissan suddenly veered off the pavement, bounced off a tree, and came to a spinning stop 50 feet away, according to a crash report.

The driver escaped injury, but is facing charges that include driving while using a hand-held electronic device, driving under the influence, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to maintain the proper lane.
