Dogs 'Taken Back' From Tolland Pound: Report

"Impounded" dogs were recenrly "taken back" from the Tolland pound, officials said.

TOLLAND, CT — An angry dog owner recently went into the Tolland Dog Pound facility "unescorted" and took back dogs that had been "impounded," according to the latest town manager's report.

The incident was on the morning of April 25.

Public Safety Director John Littell and state police were immediately notified of the incident and the matter was "quickly resolved," according to the report.

No people or animals were harmed and the facility was not damaged, according to the report.

New padlocks have been purchased and installed to secure the facility, according to the report.
