TOLLAND, CT — Both the driver and dog owner wound up with warnings after an accident involving a pet earlier this month in Tolland, a report indicates.

The incident took place at 11:44 a.m. on July 6 on Burbank Road near the Peter Green Road intersection, state police said.

The dog was loose and was hit by a Dodge Ram 1500 driven by a 56-year-old man from Tolland. He was given a verbal warning for traveling unreasonably fast, according to a report.
