Driver Involved In U-Turn-Laden Chase Though Tolland Nabbed
State police have made an arrest in a wild chase that sped through Tolland in Janaury.

TOLLAND, CT — A wild chase in January that began in Massachusetts and spilled into Tolland featuring police cars cut off during U-turns landed a Waterbury man with 11 criminal charges, state police said.
A warrant was served on 26-year-old Ernst Bruny on March 4, and he is due in court on March 14, according to a report.
Just after 7 p.m. on Jan. 18, state police out of the Troop C barracks were notified by Charlton, MA, police that a blue Volvo was withy a headlight out heading their way on Interstate-84. The car, driven by Bruny, was being chased, according to a report.

State troopers were waiting for the Volvo between exits 69 and 68 and, after tailgating one vehicle by less than a car length, Bruny exited the highway at Exit 68 and a chase ensued along state Route 195, according to a report.
After several U-turns, wrong-way driving and cutting off both police cars and civilar vehicles, Bruny was able to get away.

State police said they were eventually able to locate Bruny and serve the warrant.
