Driver Killed as Car Crashes Into Tolland Home
The accident took place late Wednesday night on Charles Street.

TOLLAND, CT — A 51-year-old Tolland man was killed late Wednesday after the SUV he was driving crashed into a house, state police said.
The crash, which took place at 85 Charles Street around 10:21 p.m., claimed the life of Michael Cannizzaro of Mountain Lane, according to state police.
A police report indicates Cannizzaro was operating a 2017 Ford Edge SEL when the vehicle left the roadway and crashed into the foundation of the house. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact Trooper Matthew Button at 860-896-3200.
