Driver Killed Thursday In Tolland Highway Crash
A driver died in a single-car crash on I-84 in Tolland Thursday.

TOLLAND, CT — The driver of a 2011 Buick Regal was killed in a single-car crash on Interstate 84 in Tolland Thursday morning, state police said.
The crash took place at 5:11 a.m.
The Regal was being driven by 24-year-old Conor Pickering, of West haven, on the westbound side of the highway, according to a crash report. The car was in the right lane when it skidded off the pavement into the right-hand shoulder area, according to a crash report.

It then hit a tree, according to a crash report.
Pickering was transported by Tolland ambulance to Rockville General Hospital, with serious injuries and was pronounced dead a short time later, state police said.

State police are asking any witnessed to cal them at the Troop C barracks — 860-896-3200.
