A man and an 8-year-old boy were standing next to the Subaru and they told a trooper that their car had been hit by a white vehicle that had been weaving in and out of traffic and, after it spun out information on the other vehicle had been given to an off-duty Massachusetts state trooper and Department of Motor Vehicles officer who had both stopped to check on them, according to a crash report.
