Dump Truck Driver Left Bed Up Before Hitting I-84 Overpass: Report
State police have completed a report on last week's dump truck crash in Tolland.

TOLLAND, CT β A state police crash report shows that the driver of a dump truck "failed" to lower the truck's bed, which led to it slamming against an overpass last week on Interstate-84 in Tolland.
The report was available Monday at the state police Troop C barracks. The crash took place at the Old Cathole Road overpass on Interstate 84 westbound at 3:34 a.m. on Sept. 14, state police said.
State police located the raised bed of the dump truck leaning against the overpass. After the truck hit the bridge, the bed broke off, state police said. It was in an upright position and had to be carefully removed by a heavy wrecker, fire officials said.
