The Tolland High School football team dropped its opener at Killingly 44-14 on Friday night.
Tolland led 7-0 after the first quarter on a one-yard run by C.J. Janton.
Janton had Tolland's other touchdown, a three-yard run in the third quarter.
In the air, Janton finished 4-for-8 for 74 yards. He ran 15 times for 77 yards.
M.J. Vanderpool ran the ball 15 times for 62 yards.
Ben Noonan had 60 receiving yards, including a 50-yarder.
