Aprons Tell Tales

Did Grandma or Great Grandma wear one as she baked Thanksgiving magic in the kitchen?

The Willington Historical Society invites you to the “Aprons Tell Tales” exhibit at the Daniel Glazier Tavern on the Willington Town Green. Dating from the 1940s, the aprons on display reveal the different types, styles, and functions of this essential piece of clothing.

Aprons will be spilling their secrets Saturday, September 10, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. during the annual Willington Flea Market on the Green.

Visit the exhibit in the Glazier Tavern and then stop by the Willington Historical Society’s traditional booth at the Flea Market where you can purchase books, cards, and items of historical interest. You might even see how the aprons “tie” into the other tales told by the mystery items on display.
