“BE AMAZED - Digital Art & Photography” by RC deWinter AT THE ARTS CENTER OF TOLLAND

“BE AMAZED - Digital Art & Photography by RC deWinter,” will be presented by Arts of Tolland Saturdays during the month of October at the Arts Center of Tolland, 22 Tolland Green, Tolland, CT 06084).   

There will be an opening reception of the exhibit on Saturday, October 1, from noon to 2:00 p.m. All are welcome; admission is free. Refreshments will be served. Gallery hours to the exhibit will be Saturday’s, Oct. 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29 from noon until 4:00 p.m.

RC deWinter is a self-taught photographer and digital artist currently living and working in Middletown.  She has been shooting photos for over 25 years, using both traditional and digital SLR equipment. Her digital work is created using a variety of software and includes oil paintings, watercolor sketches and drawings.  Her work has appeared in print, notably in Pink Panther Magazine, Arts Creation Magazine and The American Muse as well as in online publications including Somojo Magazine. For the past two seasons, ABC has licensed several of Ms. deWinter’s images for use as set decor for the television show Desperate Housewives. 

In addition to her personal online portfolios, deWinter’s art is exhibited on of several internet-based showcases, including The Trillium Gallery, Saatchi Online, ARTbracket, 
The Art for Cancer Gallery, Copperflame Gallery, b-uncut and Artists, Writers and Photographers in the Raw, where she also posts a blog, “Scenic Gardening,” on artistry in the garden. deWinter is honored to be the first digital artist invited to exhibit her work at the Arts of Tolland Gallery.
