Let the imagination soar as high as a kite – for kite lovers aged 10 and up, create, construct and decorate your own handcrafted kite to enter Stafford Arts Commission’s decorated kite contest.
At 3 pm on Saturday, October 1st, bring your kite to Autumn in the Park (Hyde Park Stafford Springs) to be judged in the contest, with two fabulous prizes to be won.
1st prize for the most imaginatively decorated kite:

- A hot air balloon ride for two adults and one child.
2nd prize:
- A ‘Nook’ reading tablet.

The Arts Commission would like to thank American Sleeve Bearing, one of the co-sponsors of the Festival, for making these very generous prizes possible.
The 3 pm till 4 pm hour of the festival program – the IMAGINE HOUR – will include not only the kite contest but possible “Elvis” sightings, a strolling Barbershop Quartet and miniature donkeys on parade.
